Our guest artist is Joel Kumro from Richmond, who will be singing two Bach arias with the ensemble. The ensemble is sponsored by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and drawn from current and former William & Mary music faculty and Colonial Williamsburg. Based in Williamsburg, the Wren Masters specialize in historical performance of 17th and 18th century music played on harpsi chord, recorder, baroque violin, and viola da gamba. The program includes works by Telemann, Marin Marais, Buxtehude, and J.S Bach. Enjoy this free concert in the intimate setting of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham with its wonderful acoustics for music. The Wren Masters baroque ensemble will present the program, "Baroque Brilliance," featuring music by virtuoso composer-performers of the eighteenth century.
